Who are we?
Boise Fencing Club is a not for profit corporation organized under the Non Profit Corporation Act of the State of Idaho. Its purpose is to promote the sport of amateur fencing in Southwestern Idaho.
What do we do?
Boise Fencing Club offers lessons for beginning and intermediate fencers in two fencing weapons: Foil and Epee. The Club also offers open fencing for those who wish to hone their skills.
Why do we do this?
Fencing is FUN! Modern fencing is more than just sword fighting, it is a sport that has been called “Physical Chess,” for fencing engages not only the body, but the mind as well. Fencing can be a good workout and help develop coordination, flexibility, and quickness. Fencing can be learned and enjoyed by anyone from ages 8 to 90. Two main tenets of fencing are Respect and Honor, which carry over well into life. And again, Fencing is FUN!
